Privacy Policy
Landscaping Outlook ("we", "us") is operated from Sydney, Australia. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988.
1. Information we collect
- Render inputs. Text prompts, descriptions, and any photos you upload to generate a design. Photos are sent to a third-party AI provider for generation and are not retained on our servers beyond the active session unless you save the render.
- Lead form data. If you choose to be matched with a local trade, we collect your name, email, suburb, and (optionally) phone and budget intent.
- Contact form data. Any name, email and message you submit through the contact page.
- Anonymous usage. IP address (hashed), browser type, page views, render counts. We do not use third-party analytics cookies.
2. How we use it
- To generate your requested designs and show them back to you.
- To enforce free-tier render limits (per-IP rate limiting).
- To pass your lead, with your consent, to vetted local landscapers and designers when you ask to be matched.
- To reply to messages you send us via the contact form.
- To monitor and improve the service.
3. AI processing and third parties
Renders are generated using Flux models hosted by image-generation providers (currently Pollinations.ai for free-tier text-to-image, and Flux Kontext when photo redesign is enabled). Your prompts and any uploaded images are transmitted to those providers for the sole purpose of generating your output. We do not sell or share your data with advertising or marketing networks.
4. Storage and security
Lead and contact data are stored in an encrypted database. We use industry-standard precautions to protect this data, including HTTPS in production and access controls on the database. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify you and the relevant authorities of any material breach as required by Australian law.
5. Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to remember your free-tier render count for the day. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels.
6. Your rights
Under the APPs, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request corrections, and to request deletion. Email us via the contact page with the subject "Privacy request" and we'll action it within 30 days.
7. Children
The service is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days before they take effect.
